Cato Crest
Construction of the Cato Crest Collector Road Phase
4 and other road networks into the settlement will
commence during the first quarter of this year. The
Cato Crest Greenfields Housing Project is moving ahead
at pace. 40 houses are currently under construction.

Construction of houses
at the Cato Crest Greenfields Housing Project is nearing
completion. Yumaka Homes has built 200 houses and has
160 more to build.

To date 200 houses have been completed. More than
85 sales agreements have been signed.

Nsimbini
There are 220 houses that have been constructed while
70 houses are at various stages of construction. 120
families have signed their sales agreement and will
soon take occupation of their new homes.

Jamaica
A show house has been built to allow the community
to view and comment since Universal Property developers
were awarded the contract to develop Jamaica. However
the show house is not the only option, Universal is
prepared to be flexible should residents want another
style of house.
Construction of the houses will only commence when
the process of sales administration has occurred and
work on the civils has been completed. The project
is expected to yield approximately 550 sites for the
construction of houses. It is expected that residents
will sign their sales agreements in the first quarter
of the year 2000.

Chesterville Extension Bond Housing Phase 3
185 fully serviced sites are available to households
earning between R2 500 and R3 500 per month. The five
contractors who have been awarded the contract to
develop the area are expected to build show houses
to be viewed by prospective buyers.

Chesterville Extension Bond Housing Phase 2
This project aimed at households earning more than
R2 500 a month has yielded 252 fully serviced sites.
About 100 houses have been completed while 13 houses
are currently under construction and 200 prospective
buyers have signed their sales agreement documents.

Umkhumbaan Infil Housing Project
Six developers have been selected for this middle
income housing project which has a total of 125 sites.
This project is targeted at households earning between
R3 000 and R5 000 a month. They will build show units,
sell serviced sites and build houses for interested
buyers.

North and South Booth Road Housing Project
Approximately 300 sites have been prepared in readiness
for the construction of houses. Stocks & Stocks has
been on site since December last year.

Sub-contractors applying
finishing touches to a house at the North & South of
Booth Road. The housing project will accommodate people
relocated from Old and New Dunbar.

A total of 29 houses have been built - the outstanding
270 houses will be built as soon as the PHDB approves
subsidies. More than 50 local people have been employed
in the project including 15 sub-contractors.
This project will accommodate families from both
the Old and New Dunbar settlements.

Shayamoya Hilltop High Density Housing Project
Ubuntu Construction has started the construction of
320 rental units. It is anticipated that the first
batch of 32 units will be occupied in April.
