Sbongile Mbonambi
is a very talented woman who does an unusual job - she
makes flower arrangements. Sbongile uses artificial
flowers, she buys ribbons and pots and she makes a beautiful
flower arrangement out of it.

She decorates
for weddings and other special occasions like Valentine's

MAPHOLOBA'S WOODWORK
Moses Ngcobo is
a very old man who knows what he is doing. Moses has
never bought a cupboard or a coffee table in his life
because he makes them himself. He makes ironing boards
and beautiful chairs, even wall units. He sells his
ironing boards for R50 each. He can be found at CC 0609

ZOLA'S FURNITURE
A very dedicated
young man Zola Mkololo does wonders with his hands.
Zola makes beds, tables, cupboards and chairs using
the wood from pallets. He works with three guys who
help him at a friend's house. He uses the front yard
to advertise his products. Zola can be found at CC 2591

Ntonto Ngcobo from
KwaMasixhawulane House No 16 has no reason to be bitter
about losing her job. She has enough skills to survive.

She has set up
a small but good business making curtains, duvets, chair
bags, beautiful animated door stoppers and bed frills.
Because Ntonto realises that her business is growing
everyday, she has decided to attend business skills
courses offered by the CMDA. Ntonto works alone and
has two machines that she bought with her severance

LINDIWE THE FURNITURE QUEEN
Lindiwe needs no
introduction to the Cato Manor community. She has been
making furniture for more that five years.

is that she has moved her business from her house in
Cato Crest to a bigger workshop that she rents from
Kuphuka in Merebank. Lindiwe manufactures beds, wardrobes,
built-in-cupboards and many more wooden products. If

Old man Mthanti
can't remember the last time he worked under somebody.
It has been ages since he became self-employed. Years
ago he used to concentrate on selling ready made goods,
but nowadays he manufactures goods to sell.

He makes gates,
burglar guards and pot stands, but his speciality is
making gas cookers of any size. Should you wish to hire
